First painting of 2021. In this past year, in which so many things changed and were taken away from us little by little, I found great comfort and inspiration in nature. It just kept going. Particularly, for me, the sky. Whether looking at the stars, watching a magnificent sunset (of which there seemed to be many this year, or we just finally had the time to watch them), looking for the ISS to pass or watching Jupiter and Saturn come together, the sky seemed to watch over all of us. It reminded us to look beyond our own small world and know that the bigger picture still includes some pretty wonderful things.
